About this app

Norah's Pet School is a virtual pet game for children. Your child adopts a pet, cares for it, plays mini-games with it, makes art with it, and teaches it — and the pet grows and evolves as they do. The teaching part is real school work: grade-matched math and vocabulary.

How grade matching works

On first launch the app asks for your child's grade or age. School content is then built around that grade in four half-school-year bands:

Grade + 6 months	The first half of the grade above	Unlocks after they master their own grade

So every child gets six months of review before their grade and six months of challenge beyond it. A 3rd grader works through late 2nd grade, all of 3rd, and early 4th. Supported range is kindergarten through 5th grade. Math is sequenced against Common Core progressions; vocabulary runs the same fourteen bands.

You can change the grade any time: ⚙️ Settings → School grade. Changing it resets school progress so the levels line up with the new grade — the pet, its name, art, and hearts are kept.

Privacy — nothing leaves the device

Norah's Pet School does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services. The pet, the grade setting, progress, and artwork are saved only in local storage on the device itself. We never see any of it.

No ads, no purchases

There is no advertising in this app and nothing to buy inside it. Hearts are earned by playing — they cannot be purchased. There are no links out of the app.

Common questions

The music isn't my child's taste. ⚙️ Settings → Music style offers Golden, K-Pop, Sparkle, and Chill, and music and sound effects can each be turned off separately.
My child doesn't like fast games. Memory Match and Hide & Seek in the 🎪 Playground have no timer at all.
How do I turn off the reading voice? ⚙️ Settings → Read out loud.
How do I start over? ⚙️ Settings → Start over. It asks for confirmation first. This erases the pet, its learning, artwork, and hearts, and cannot be undone.
Will progress survive an update? Yes. Saves are kept on the device across app updates. Deleting the app does erase them.
Does it work offline? Yes, completely. No internet connection is needed at any point.

Accessibility & wellbeing notes

Vocabulary words can be read aloud on tap for children who are still building reading confidence.
The pet's needs decay slowly and never drop to zero — a child cannot come back to a pet that suffered or died while they were away.
Wrong answers cost nothing. There is no penalty, no timer on school work, and no losing streak.
