Privacy & Data Use

Continuum Pocket IH & HSE. Effective August 8, 2026.

Plain summary: This app collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. Every walkthrough, finding, photograph, incident, calculation and environmental record you create stays on your device. We cannot see any of it, because the app never sends it anywhere. Its only network connection is to Apple, to check whether your subscription is active — that exchange carries nothing about you and nothing about your work. It is a professional working tool — not a medical device, not a diagnosis, and not your employer’s official record.

Who we are

This app is provided by Continuum Improvement LLC (“we”). Contact: support@continuumimprovement.com.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account system, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting and no analytics. We receive no information about you, your device, or how you use the app.

Your subscription

Access requires a subscription, sold through the App Store as a monthly or annual plan. Apple handles the entire purchase. We never see your name, your payment details, or your Apple ID — Apple does not give them to us, and we have not asked. What the app receives back is a signed receipt saying, in effect, yes or no.

That receipt is stored on your device by iOS. The app reads it locally, which is why it works with no signal: losing connectivity never locks you out of an app you have paid for. If you are standing in a plant or a tank farm with no bars, everything continues to work.

We use no third-party subscription service, analytics platform, or payment processor. There is no company between you and Apple in this transaction, and no identifier of yours is sent anywhere for any purpose.

Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings. Cancelling is between you and Apple; we are not notified of who you are.

If your subscription lapses

Your records remain on your device, and the export function stays available and unrestricted — you can produce your full PDF and your full backup file at any time, subscription or no subscription. These are your professional records. We will not hold them hostage.

What stays on your device

All of this is stored locally in the app’s own storage on your device. It is covered by your device’s own protections, including your passcode and, if you use it, device encryption and any backup you make of your device.

Getting your records out

You can export any report, list or record as a PDF, and export your full record set as a file, using your device’s own share options — email, AirDrop, Files, or your document system. Where those exports go is entirely your choice, and they leave our software the moment you share them.

Deleting your records

The app includes Erase all data on this device, which permanently deletes everything the app has stored. Deleting the app also removes its data. Because we never receive your records, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Reference data included in the app

The app bundles the text of 29 CFR Parts 1910 and 1926 and the OSHA permissible exposure limits from 29 CFR 1910.1000 Tables Z-1, Z-2 and Z-3 and 1926.55. These are United States Government works in the public domain, obtained from the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR), with the edition date displayed in the app. They are included for offline convenience and are not a substitute for the current official standard. Licensed occupational exposure limits from third parties, such as ACGIH TLVs, are not included.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we do not have any. There is no third-party service provider receiving data from this app. Apple processes your subscription under its own privacy policy, and passes us nothing that identifies you.

Children’s privacy

This is a professional tool intended for occupational safety, industrial hygiene and environmental practitioners aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Information you record about other people

If you record information about coworkers, contractors or others — names, roles, or details of an incident — you do so as a professional, and you remain responsible for that information and its confidentiality under your employer’s policies and applicable law. The app encourages the use of roles rather than names where possible. Please also be aware that notes and photographs stored on a device may be subject to discovery in litigation or to a records request.

Not a medical device, and not an official record

This app is a documentation and calculation tool. It does not diagnose any condition and makes no medical claim about any individual. Exposure statistics and calculators are screening estimates derived from the data you enter, and each result states its own method and limitations. Your records here do not satisfy any regulatory recordkeeping, reporting, or notification obligation — including OSHA recordkeeping, reportable-quantity determinations, and agency notifications — which remain the responsibility of your facility. Professional judgment governs every conclusion.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. A future version of the app may offer optional, opt-in encrypted backup; if that is added, this policy will be updated before the feature ships, and it will remain off unless you choose to turn it on.
