Common questions

Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Everything works offline — findings, photographs, the 29 CFR text, the exposure statistics and every calculator. Your subscription is confirmed from a receipt stored on the device, so no signal does not mean no access. You can be underground, inside a vessel, or three hours from the nearest tower and the app behaves exactly the same.
Where are my records stored?
On your device only. There is no account and no cloud. Export a PDF or a full backup file whenever you want a copy elsewhere.
What does the subscription cost?
$19.99 a month, or $199.99 a year. The annual plan works out around $16.67 a month. Both give you the whole app — there is nothing held back for a higher tier, and there are no in-app purchases on top.
How do I cancel?
In your Apple ID Account Settings, the same place as every other App Store subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. We do not process the cancellation and cannot do it for you — Apple owns that transaction entirely.
What happens to my records if I stop subscribing?
They stay on your device, and you can still export all of them — the export button remains available and unrestricted. You will not be able to log new findings until you resubscribe, but nothing you have already recorded is taken away or locked up. Your inspection findings and incident notes may matter for a records request or a deposition, and holding them hostage would be indefensible.
I already paid, but a new phone is asking me to subscribe.
Tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen while signed in to the same Apple ID. That is what it is there for.
What if I delete the app?
Your records go with it. Export a backup first if you want to keep them.
How current is the regulatory text?
The edition date is displayed on the standards screen and in every exposure assessment. It comes from the eCFR and is refreshed in app updates. Always confirm against the current official standard before relying on it.
Why can I not find a chemical’s limit?
The app includes OSHA permissible exposure limits from 29 CFR 1910.1000 Tables Z-1, Z-2 and Z-3 and 1926.55. Many substances have no OSHA PEL, and licensed limits such as ACGIH TLVs are not included. Enter the limit that governs your site.
Can I use it as my company’s official record?
No. It is your own working notebook. Regulatory recordkeeping, reporting and notification remain your facility’s responsibility.
Is cloud backup coming?
An optional, opt-in encrypted backup is planned for a future version. It will be off unless you turn it on, and records will be encrypted on your device first.
